Field Trip: Ford Piquette Plant

Tonight for class we took a trip up the street (literally 4 blocks) to the plant where Henry Ford developed the Model T as well as many of the cars that preceded it. Coincidentally, it was September 27th 1908 that the first production T was built. I was pretty awe-struck to be there and see it all. The stormy weather definitely added to the mood of the trip. It felt so intimate.
Anyways, pictures:

^^this pic makes up for all the dim, blurry ones

the crew

and Ford feels it necessary to store a GT and GT Chassis Here. Why?

Next Week: furniture sketches, and maybe some shoes
